About UsEventMasters opened for business in Truckee in 1995 and is owned and operated by John and Kay Witney. In September, 2000 they were awarded the title of 'Small Business of the Year' by the Truckee-Donner Chamber of Commerce and March 2003 saw their expansion into South Lake Tahoe. Their aim is to make party and event-planning as stress-free as possible with their 'one-stop' wedding and party shops. John grew up in the film industry and owned a mobile sound business for 18 years. A retired firefighter/medic/fire marshal, he is currently on the board of the local Chamber of Commerce and a Rotarian. Kay is from England with a background in the travel industry. Fluent in French and German, she was an international tour guide holding the coveted 'Blue Badge' of London before moving to California in 1990. Maggi is your South Lake Tahoe branch manager. She graduated with honors from Suffolk University in Boston. Over the past six years in South Lake Tahoe, Maggi has served on the Board of The Lake Tahoe Wedding and Honeymoon Association as the Trade Show Coordinator and Vice President. Peter our South Lake Tahoe warehouse/delivery manager grew up in Eastern Connecticut. After graduating from Suffolk University in Boston, with a B.S. in Public Relations Peter ventured West to ski in Tahoe's fantastic mountains. Sonny, Garth, Marsha, Nick, Kelly,Javier and Jessica complete the crew. During the busy summer months they are joined by students from Europe, who add an international flavor to the EventMasters team. EventMasters is proud to have served 2 U.S. Presidents and they now look forward to adding you to their list of satisfied customers.
